The studio
We make filmsthat move.
Longtake started in 2014 in a garage in East LA: two directors, one camera and a van. We wanted a place where the people who pitch a film are the people who make it.
Today we are a studio of directors, producers, editors and a colorist under one roof, making commercials, music videos, documentaries and short films for brands, artists and studios around the world.
How we work
Four rules
- Scene 01Take 1Story first
Every job starts with one idea you can say in a sentence. The treatment, the cast and the camera follow from it.
- Scene 02Take 1One crew, start to finish
The people who pitch your film are the people who shoot, cut and grade it. Nothing gets lost in a hand-off.
- Scene 03Take 1Fixed budgets
You see a written treatment and a fixed number before anyone books a day. Scope moves, the number does not.
- Scene 04Take 1Made to be watched
We cut for the screen it will play on, from a cinema to a phone held upright on a train.
